Duane Treadon GISP - The GIS Community Directory

Duane Treadon received his BS in Criminology from Florida State University and a MS in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State.  He currently serves as the Director of Planning and Housing Administration for the City of Thomasville (GA).  His previous role was as Director of GIS for the City where in his curernt role he maintains a lot of the same GIS related responsibilities.

His career with the City began as a patrol officer with the Thomasville Police Department where he served 10 year achieving the rank of Sgt. and was in command of the Community Relations and School Resource Officer programs at the time he transfer to the City’s Planning Department.

Duane serves on the Board of Directors for Seven Hill Regional User Group (SHRUG) a professional GIS nonprofit based out of Tallahassee with a mission of promoting education within the GIS community.  Duane is also a member of FCIAA, IACA, FLURISA, and holds GISP certification.
